Birds classroom

Laying the foundation for early growth through care, connection, and language
In the Birds Classroom, our youngest learners—ages 6 to 17 months—are gently supported as they navigate their earliest developmental milestones. Our nurturing environment is designed to promote sensory exploration, secure attachment, and the beginning of communication and mobility.
Teachers in the Birds Classroom use the CDC’s developmental milestones as a guide to support each child’s individual growth. This includes helping infants and young toddlers:
  • Develop strong head and neck control
  • Begin crawling, pulling to stand, or taking first steps
  • Engage in social smiles, babbling, and responding to their names
  • Show interest in familiar people, toys, and routines
Through our bilingual curriculum, children are immersed daily in two core languages, typically English and a second language, through songs, stories, and interactive play. In addition, they are exposed to basic Arabic and Arabic dialect phrases to help build early listening and recognition skills in multiple languages.
We follow Virginia state licensing standards to ensure the highest level of care and supervision: 6 to 16 months: 1 teacher for every 4 children
Our experienced team is dedicated to fostering curiosity, safety, and joy during these important first steps

Sprouts Junior Classroom

Growing minds through play, care, and language development
In the Sprouts Junior Classroom, our curious learners aged 17 to 24 months are supported as they reach exciting new developmental milestones. At this stage, children are working on walking more confidently, using simple words, recognizing familiar people and objects, and beginning to show interest in pretend play—aligned with CDC developmental guidelines for toddlers.
Our bilingual curriculum introduces children to two core languages—typically English and a second language—through songs, storytime, and everyday routines. Children are also gently exposed to basic Arabic and familiar dialects through greetings, classroom phrases, and simple vocabulary, supporting early language awareness and cultural connection.
We follow Virginia state licensing standards for staff-to-child ratios to ensure each child is nurtured with care: 17 to 24 months: 1 teacher for every 5 children.
Our  Classroom provides a safe, loving, and enriching environment where toddlers can thrive and begin their lifelong journey of learning.
